Originally a research centre but today is intended more for relaxation. Both foreign and indigineous species of flora are found here. • La Tour des Pins (8 Miles) - One of 25 towers that once reinforced the medieval walls and gateways of Montpellier, and one of only two that remain standing. This tower stands 23 metres in height, and is surrounded by a small park full of cedars.
