Minimum stay is 7 days, from saturday to saturday. Situated in the well-preserved heart of the Deux Sèvres, Moncoutant is the first fishing-orientated centre in France and in Europe.
Size: 100 hectares of specialist lakes, filled with some of the most sought after and rare species of fish in the area. Fishing equipment is available for hire, as well as the chance to learn on site.
Résidence Les Maisons du Lac*** is a complex of houses and apartments in the midst of the new European fishing and wildlife village - Pescalis. The complex looks over a river and lakes and is surrounded by gardens and small streams. Only a stone's throw from the complex and for each group of houses, you will find a fishing workshop equipped with sink, refrigerator, and work areas.

The 250 acres of lakes and rivers are stocked with some of the most sought-after trophy fish, including Catfish, Carp, Pike, Trout, Large Mouth Bass and Sturgeon, and offers services like night fishing and pontoons for access for the disabled.
On site, there is a swimming pool with a terrace as well as a playground. In the village's pedestrian area, there is direct access to the aquarium, horseriding, tennis (you have to pay for each of these activities) and on week days during summer, a traditional, rustic market of local farm produce.
Please note that the swimming pool is not heated.
