- Take the by pass.
- Take the exit 26 signposted Libourne and head towards Libourne on the N89.
- Then head towards Artigues.
From Bordeaux Centre:
- Take Pont de Pierre (bridge).
- And head towards Libourne on the N89.
From Libourne:
- Take the A59 motorway.
- Take the exit towards Artigues.
Local Attractions :
• The Lormont 'Washing Basin', Lormont (5 Miles) - (14th or 15th century).A hood in arcade, with the wood ceiling, protects the laundrette and supports a house of the 17th century. The laundrette is fed by the Garosses. Water runs out by a very old underpass, which leads to the port of Lormont.
• Beaux Arts Museum, Bordeaux (7 Miles) - One can admire superb Italian paintings (Titien, Giordano, Véronèse, Magnasco), some immense formats of the French school (Restout and Van Loo), two splendid Rubens and ones of the Dutch school (Ruysdael, Verbeck, Terbrugghen, Franz Hals).
• Jean Moulin National Centre, Bordeaux (8 Miles) - The collections of the museum are devoted to Resistance, the deportation and the ancient French Army.
• Cadaujac Castle (11 Miles) - It is built in a park of 14 acres from where the sight dominates the palus of the Garonne and it is classified as historical buildings.
