•  Chapelle Penitents-gris (Chapelle des Bourras) (4 Miles) - This 16th-century chapel honouring St. Joseph was built on the ancient Roman Aurelian road linking Rome and Spain. Visits can be pre-arranged with the rector of a group of local ecclesiastics.
•  Cathédrale St. Sauveur (4 Miles) - The architecture of the cathedral covers many eras: the baptistery, which dates from the 4th or 5th century; Romanesque and Gothic stand side-by-side in a double nave. Its greatest treasure is the brilliant 15th-century triptych by Nicolas Froment.
•  Atelier de Cézanne (6 Miles) - Outside town is the studio of the painter who was the major precursor of cubism, surrounded by a wall. The house was restored by American admirers. It remains much as Cézanne left it in 1906.
